How We Rate
Our score measures how much a buyer can verify before spending money. It is not a measure of whether a product works, because in this category that usually cannot be known from the outside.
What moves the score up
- A published Supplement Facts panel with per-ingredient amounts. This is the single biggest factor.
- Doses in the range used in human trials on the same ingredient.
- A real money-back guarantee, with a window long enough to be useful, direct from the seller.
- Clear pricing, including shipping, with no hidden subscription.
- Honest claims. Marketing that doesn't outrun what the label supports.
What moves it down
- No published amounts, or a proprietary blend that hides the split.
- A total blend far below the dose used in research on its lead ingredient.
- Self-reported ratings presented as independent.
- A guarantee window shorter than the supply you're being sold.
- Named ingredients the seller won't identify.
The bands
- 8 to 10. Fully labelled, sensibly dosed, fairly priced, honestly marketed.
- 6 to 7.9. Mostly checkable, with a real gap somewhere.
- 4 to 5.9. Something important is not published, so you're partly buying blind.
- Below 4. Little is verifiable, or the marketing clearly outruns the label.
What the score is not
It is not a prediction of results, and it cannot be. We have not taken these products, and a score that claimed to know whether something works for you would be dishonest.
Nobody can pay for a score, or to have one changed. Commission arrangements are disclosed on every page and have no effect on any number we publish.
